Hello everyone. I just launched my web directory. http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com You can submit a review of your website enabling you to get a link back from a page that is keyword rich.

You can also get extra back links by brwosing the web directory and submit your website in related resources in other review that are related to your website.

Yea that is a twist. Getting a link from a content rich page is not equal getting a link from a normal directory which contains only a list of links. The content of the page that links to you counts a lot.

Also you can submit your website in other's review related to your website (the content is simlar to your website too since the review is related to your website)

Isn't that a twist?

I believe the content around a link will become more relevant in the future but have you got any evidence to suggest that it is built into the ranking algorithm now?

Let me tell you why I think it is in the ranking algorithm. G and Yahoo and other major search engines always improve and tweak their algorithm so that they elimnate spam listings. They want that the websites that link first are really the websites that their clients are looking for. WHY? they do so not for buz but so that their clients are satisfied and they keep on using their search engine and they earn money from ppc.

So they want to complelety elimnate those links exchange which in my opinion does not make sense. For instance websites that sells cat food links to steel industry. I think that will be considered cheating and spam in the future. In order for a cat food website to be very important it should be linked and hence proof by other cat websites. It is obvious that this will enhance the search experience! Do you agree!
