This post comes in two parts really.
Firstly, I've started advertising banner space and text link space on my site .
Whats the best way to market this space. Should I keep the prices really low to begin with and then rank them up when it starts taking off?
Also (this is the second part of my thread). To advertise the space I am using a company called marketbanker .Has anyone had much experience with them? (Article from ZD Net)
So far, they seem pretty good. They display network adds on your boards until you sign up (this is an option) and they pay betweem $0.07 and $0.25 per click which seems reasonable.
I'd just be interested if anyone else has heard of them?
Also any advise to help me kick of the advertising would be useful.
From a price point of view I'm charging from $1cpm for the top banner (High exposure) and $10 a week for the text links (reducing to $7 a week if people advertise for 4 weeks) . Is this too much?
The site gets about 4000 Uniques a day generating approx 20,000 daily page views.
