Welcome to Webmaster-Talk Alan.

There are not really any other good PPC services other than those two, but my second two choices would be Findwhat.com and Sprinks.

I belive it be a very dangerous myth from the perspective of a webmaster that there are no other good PPC's out there aside from Overture and Google adwords. I saw this because when this two jugernauts roll over every other PPC as an advertiser I will be in bad shape financially bid prices will sky rocket and we can all say goodbye to the first landing page unless we have deep pockets.

but like all of us I'm always on the lookout for new, cheap and effective ways to not only get users to my website but convert that traffic into dollars.

I noticed some other threads on this board which discussed this as their central theme and some techniques they used.

One technique that I tried that was not discussed in any of the threads was that of using smaller PPC's to promote my website (as not to turn this into a shameless plug for my website I will omit it's url and title from this post) By increasing my marketing mix and putting my marketing dollars in several different places I found that I was not only getting a better ROI but also seeing my user numbers increase

Granted using Google adwords & Overture are sure fire ways to drive traffic to your site, they are quite pricey and ate up my advertising budget in a hurry. The only problem is with more and more acquisitions being made in the industry the big fish are eating up all the small.

One site that I had great success was a smaller yet great PPC engine called GenieKnows.com they not only gave me great PPC bid prices but also plugged me into their co-branding program which actually enables me to make additional revenue off of searches performed on my site. They are not the only smaller ppc out there but I got paid on time from their co-branding program and got a great ROI from their PPC initiatives so I have to make a definite referral.

However there are lots of others out there here are a couple others I've had success with:
Kanoodle.com
Sprinks (which has now been eaten by the beast)
epiolit

To make a long story short or (maybe I just made a short story long) on either note try spreading out your marketing dollars. The results will speak for themselves.

Watch your keywords with any of the PPCs, you can run up quite a bill if you aren't careful.

Well i think there are other good ppc search engines. For example there is searchfeed.com, and reveneupilot.com which bids begin at 0.01 so you can save on some keywords.

I agree with the comentary above, if you are beginning you should work on several of this smaller ppc engines, which drives less traffic but are cheaper(depending on the keyword).

AlanSupply:

It depends which market(s) you target...
For sure Overture is number 1 and google number 2

just after, I'd recommend you http://www.ESPOTTING.COM/
and why not http://www.looksmart.com/

Thats our TOP 4

If you go with others like ah-ha or kannodle or Findwhat.com etc :

be sure to:

Make your title and description as BORING and detailed as you can to target only naive/fresh people that know what they want

Also I recommand you NOT TO use them for 'webmasters' targeted campains/traffic ... even if you get 200 clicks X $0.01 each ... it doesnt worth the conversion of 2 simple clicks from overture or google etc...

Btw , Sorry for my bad english

We have been dealing with goto since it came online
If you have any questions we can help...

jtm, you seem to recommend kanoodle.
I don't and I guess others have the same opinion. How do I know that? Well simply check the CPC.
At Overture you pay $10-$30 per click to be #1 for the search phrase "web hosting".
At kanoodle the top bidder is currently at $0.16 per click. It is not very hard to understand why it is that low.

I have had moderate success with Findit-Quick. They offer pretty cheap traffic.

Hi,

I have not advertised on any of the ppc search engines that I am going to mention, but I know that they are some of the biggest ones on the web and I have also heard a lot of good things about them in the other forums.

Some of theses include:

FindWhat
Adwords
Sprinks
Kanoodle
Overture
Espotting
goClick
7search
search123

Hope the list that I have mentioned above comes in handy for someone.

If you want a list of smaller ppc search engines, then there are many listed within our Directory!!
