And what exactly is the point of this service?

I get loads of spam emails a week telling me that i can have a site submitted to hundreds of worldwide search engines - whats the point??

Are you just trying to sucker in green horns who dont understand the internet and take a few quid off them at the same time?

Only three search engines are worth talking about and all will find your site providing you have enough links to it without you having to submit to them.

The most important thing about this service is the report you have emailed to you telling you where you are failing to achieve your full potential on search engines.

By the way this report is specific to YOUR site this is not a generalised report

Why have your website on the 10th page when you can make your site better and have it on page 1 or 2.

NOW THAT IS A GOOD REASON FOR THIS SERVICE!!!

submitting to any amount of search engines won't do anything for a site. So basically it's just another scam

Your missing the point.......what about the report to tell you your failings in optimising your site...that is worth it. To know how you can increase your rankings.

Let's give mugshot a break. I agree submitting to search engines is a waste of time, but a report in where you may be lacking in seo could well be worth it. It would certainly depend on the quality of the report, but it is only $4.99

Yeah maybe, but what are you going to get for $4.99. For me, that would get about 2.5 minutes of undivided attention.

The so called "analyser" at widexl will probably be of more use.

Oh I agree. I wouldn't expect much for $4.99 and it's not something I would purcahse, but at that price I suppose some people will find value in it.

Well I took the challenge. I had PM'd mugshot with my thoughts after getting the report and was waiting to hear back before posting again, but since you asked and it's been a few days here goes.

If you're new to seo and not really sure the best way to go about things I think you'll learn something with what you get for $4.99. I didn't agree with all the advice in the report though none of it seemed to me like it would be harmful.

If you're anything other than a novice with seo I don't think you'll learn anything new. Most of the advice was standard stuff that you'll get spending a little time reading through some seo forums and articles.

So it really depends on who you are as to the value, which is kind of what I expected. I think for $4.99 you can only expect so much in the first place. However it is only $4.99 so it's not like you would be losing a lot no matter what you did or didn't learn or find useful.

One thing I did notice was the report had a striking similarity to the report I get from Web CEO. There were some minor differences, but even the layout of the reports was similar and the advice I disagree with was the same in both. Web CEO does offer a free version which is the one I have. I don't use the program myself since I think I have a better understanding of seo than what the free version offers me. I can't speak for the pro version since I don't own it.
