Do you think starting a NEW PPC with Smartsearch 4.29 could be profitable ? Any suggestions from the ones who are already maintaining some PPC engines?

I use smartsearch's ppc script and it works awesome. It manages all payments and monitoring for you. It also has built in protection against fraudulent click throughs.

Running a PPC is great. But belive me it can be hard to get off the ground and start making some nice returns. There was a period where new PPC's were coming out rapid fire. But it all comes down to delivering quality traffic and if you handle this yourself finding sponsors. This is not always straightforward

Ive been using SmartSearch for about 3 months now and I think its great. Its really easy to customise and is very user friendly.
SmartSearch Pro is a nice addon for smartsearch that you should also look into it has stacks of extra features, I will be inplementing smartsearch Pro into my PPC search engine later on this month.

If you need any customizations / features addition to Smart Search.. just ask me
We have improved many smartsearch scripts...
for example:
Having a better 'add listings' section can boost your number of deposit
We can add partial matchkeyword listings... this option enable you to display for exemple all 'webmaster' listings if 'webmaster' is found in the surfer query... without having to add ALL keywords... so you save time...
this way 'webmaster talk' or 'how to be a webmaster' or 'blabla webmaster blabla' would redirect to your webmaster listings...
We can also add this feature banners (like its done on aol search)
example: everytime BUY is found in the query, banners on your result page will all be 'buy' targeted like buy.com amazon.com bestbuy etc...
we can also make your search page totally redirect to another page or to load an extra popup based on partial match keyword asked
example: if the surfer query contains 'free' , why not load a onload blur popup in addition to your result page ? (that can be a toplist vote... all this done by your CHEAP visitors hehe)
Thats just a few example... in clear yes smartsearch rocks but as a BASE structure to develop more features
I hope you appreciate those suggestions and Sorry for my bad english/mistakes
Now let's make some money !

Hi,
We use Smartsearch Pro. on all our PPC Search's and it does a great Job. We could not ask for a better script for the price.
If you want to see a smartsearch that has been pumped up with add-on's take a look at Http://worldnetsearch.com.

Can you guys give me a brief synopsis on PPC sites, what sort of revenue do they generate? Is there a PPC site F.A.Q anywhere so I don't have to bother you guys with 'newbie' questions regarding these sites....

I've added a FAQ to my ppc search engine :-
12noon ppc search engine FAQ
I've not fully done it all yet though, but it might help a little bit.

The SmartSearch PPC Script is good to use for a first timer as you can try it out for FREE! If it works for you then you can add-on extra features which is great.
The SmartSearch PPC Script has been around for a while know, and to be honest, their are better ppc search engine scripts out their, but they cost a lot of money.
So it would be best to give SmartSearch PPC Script ago, I guess.
Setting up a ppc search engine is a great investment, as longs as you can keep with it and be able to survive any downturns.
To succeed with a ppc search engine, I guess you would need plenty of advertising so your site can become well known.
A lot of good affiliates would also be a grate help.

If you are planning on starting a PPC search engine. I would strongly recommend joning with a Advertiser instead waiting for people to deposit on your site for advertising. I can guaratee you no one will be willing to advertise on your web-site if you are a starter and you don't get enough hits. I would recommend for you to join an affiliate program such as search4revenue.com so that you can start earning something when you first start your PPC. Just a thought .

I agree with Jindian, you should affiliate with quite a few ppc search engines that possibly offers xml feeds if your just starting out.
This is just so you can have results showing on your site as soon as you launch it making it look as if you already have lots of advertisers signed up with your site.
I Personally and possibly many other people won't advertise on your site if you type a search word/phrase in your search box and it returns a page with no results.
The more search results your site can provide and the more targeted they are, the more likely you will succeed in the online ppc search engine industry.
For one reason, people will keep coming back to your site again and again, thats only if they are given relevant results when they search your site + it also helps if you have a good affiliate program.
