has it got enogh backlinks found by google?
while google crawls the web, it finds new sites and indexes them.
if your site is not found by them, they wont list it.
so you should have reasonable number of inbound links from other sites.
if you still dont get listed, it may be because of something link duplicate content etc...

The best way to get indexed is to get other sites to link directly to you, preferably linking to your site without a reciprocal link. The spiders only need one link from another site to find you.
i agree. u need to have a good link to u'r site. Google will automatically pick it up & index it in about a week. if the linking pages PR is higher it may be faster too.
