The Other Search Engines

The Yahoo Directory has gone downhill fast recently. Now that Yahoo actually take Directory results for their Websearch from Google (which gets them from Dmoz)

You have to actually go into the Yahoo Directory in order to view the sites it has in it...how much are you getting for your $299 other than one good link to your site?

Is the Yahoo Directory still worth all those pennies?

I'd have to say no. I've never managed to get in on the free listing and it doesn't seem to have harmed my site all that much. Although Yahoo is an important link, now they don't give directory links so much importance in results it seems a little pointless to spend so much.
