No I am not a DMOZ editor.
If you get your site listed in DMOZ your google rankings benefit at least form it. This is not the case for joe ant.
I personally think it does not return any good results when searching for keywords, and it looks very unorganized.
Also I signed up as an editor to add sites, but they pretty much declined all of the sites I added. Silly reasons like: duplicate site.
Ok, I asked them to show me where the duplicate site was listed in joeant. They answered they wouldn't list duplicate sites.
So if you simply have a mirror site you won't get listed?  I don't get it.
My supervisor was 'Gloria'. Very frustrating to work with her. First she didn't want to tell me why the sites I added got declined. So I kept asking her for what reason the sites got declined, simply to learn from the mistakes I made. It probably took 5 PMs to get the answer not to mention she also assumed that the sites were mine because I kept insisting to know why they got declined. 
Read some alexa reviews. Pretty funny as I am not the only one who had good intentions to add some quality sites and simply got kicked in the @$$. http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=www.joeant.com
