Someone told me: "With 4000+ backlinks you can rank for ANY keyword using a Blog..."

I saw many Blogs by myself as well with few thousand back links rank 1st page for "highly competitive" keywords (often using re-directs!) like: buy viagra, ringtones, casino online, etc.

>> What makes Blogs with few thousands backlinks rank 1st page of search engines while other type of sites with same number of back links often not getting this high position? What makes the difference here?

Depends if the links are natural and the term. Hard to rank for the word "job" with 4000 backward links.

Blogs do tend to rank quicker for uncompetitive phrases, But i have seen no evidence that they will rank well for competitive keywords.

In one week after making it my blog ranks top 5 for searches like "karl pilkington legend" , "titanic 2 the sequel" and "funniest video on youtube".
