I would highly suggest you make your site look like a directory then try adding a link to the forums.
You have a great domain out there and I'd make it a great resource such as : http://webhost-resources.com/
You know there are thousands of Hosting Forums over internet, why would people join yours ? The only ones who sign up will be spamming on the boards instead of talking hosting.
Use that good domain.
