I came across www.bluefind.com

It's PR 8, & cost $40 for a permanent listing. Seems to be new, as it doesn't have much listed yet.

I paid the $40 and submitted my site, I was listed within 3 - 4 hours.

ps - I have absolutely nothing to do with this directory other than paying to have my site listed. If you think it's worth it, go for it.

GFC, their main page has a PR8, but their category pages have no PR. Seems a little costly to get included in a directory, considering there's tons that are free.

$40's actually a pretty standard fee for paid inclusion. If he main page has a PR of 8, it's just a matter of time before the next level of pages picks up PR. I look at a link in a directory like this as a risk worth taking.

If the forum does well, I end up with a PR 7 or 8 link for a one time $40. Not bad. If it flops, I'm only out $40

Look at Yahoo -it's $300 a year and you get (for the most part) a PR 5 - 7 link.

Like I said, some will try out and some will not. To each their own

There are a bunch in our list of directories. A great resource for lifting your PR.

Does anyown know how Bluefind.com manage to hord they Page rank, it seems really strange they can manage to have PR8 on the homepage but nothing in the actuly directory.

The home page has been up for quite some time while the project has been under development. The topic pages were just recently added giving them a PR 0. The next update will bring them the PR for the topic pages.
