The Other Search Engines

I hope I'm allowed to ask questions like this here.

How do these PPC search engines work? I never even caught onto it at all. But I think I might be seeing the light. Is this a search engine that you can put onto your website, for others to use to search from? Like if a visitor visits your site and is ready to leave to go search for something, if there is a PPC search engine on your website and they use it, that's how the money is made?
If this is correct, I'm betting it's about as big as a deal as hosts, affilate programs, and everything else out there! It's all in finding the right one. Or am I just totally getting this wrong?

Yes, that's pretty much it.... You can join and add your website plus your keywords and everytime someone clicks on your link, it costs you 1c or whatever the bid amount is.

As you stated you can join the affiliate program and add a search box to your website. Then you can earn either a set amount per search made, or a percentage $ amount of the search.

I find that PPC advertising is very targeted since you add your own keywords, but you must be sure to only add relavant keywords, otherwise you could waste a lot of money.

Personally I find ppc marketing a waste of time and money. Free viral marketing techniques work 10 times better. For example writing articles works best for me and brings me 40% of my traffic. But then again I am an exelent writer I just cant spell. Thank god for word

PPC are ok, but i find direct marketing works better.
