The Other Search Engines

Hi,

Do you guys happen to know of a PPC Search Engine affiliate program that searches only webhosting offers? This is helpful for a site I am creating, since my site is about webhosting and this will help generate more targeted clicks. Thanks!

I've been approached by two PPC Hosting Search engines recently...

Find Your Hosting look like they pay the affiliate, but details are very thin at the site and I've no idea on how it works... looks a lot like a window I've seen pop up at some of the larger sites and I'm not sure what customisation they offer.

PPC for Hosts on the other hand is much more customisable with your site and the searches they offer - but I don't think they do an affiliate program. I'm working to have this search engine integrated into my own site, when I can find the time to get through the setup!

I just have one tiny question...if PPC for hosts doesn't do an affiliate program, what do they do?

I'll investigate more into their site today.

Well, I've got the info I need to get my partnership with PPCforHosts up and running... it's not officially linked to yet (a little tweaking on my part for links and page template)... but it should answer your question.

Basically, I can let my visitors search for hosts directly from my site... the content comes from their database, but other than the slight delay of the results, you wouldn't know just by looking at the URL.

I don't think FindYourHosting has such customisation options (but I have yet to respond to their reply to a partnership, I will probably do so at the weekend)... so they will be in full control of the pages you link to.

The PPC for Hosts search engine looks fantastic! I'll inquire about their services soon.

For now, I just have to think of a way to implement checkboxes...I was thinking of having it as a text field where you input the features and press search, but I guess that won't work anyhow. I guess I can have a non-working search that links to a separate page with this search engine...Hmm..

The search engine I've implemented is the basic setup - Will is prepared to work with suitable sites to help them customise the search better into their site. For example, I may want to use a text link to do a search for hosts that have PHP and MySQL - in which case I would just fire off an email and ask him what details I would need to pass to the page to get the results I want showing up first time... other implementations I've seen have their own cut down version of the search form, or display the results differently. While not "freely customisable" it is customisable at their end, you just tell them how you would like them to tweak it.

I'm rather pleased with the look of the default, which is handy!
