It looks like AlltheWeb has been taken and shut down by Yahoo

It was bought out by Yahoo! a couple of years ago. A real shame too, because it was a great engine.

It must have been down for a while because I was getting a Yahoo server error. This is why I thought Yahoo was taking it down.

It won't surprise me if they do one day. I think I've heard before that they might be thinking of it, but my memory on that is pretty vague.

It's not a network problem. It was down only temporarily.

Its up for me. Working really fine. Its the largest index in the world remember ? I dont think Yahoo! would dare to shut it down.

yeah it sback up. but how many searches does it get? it's one of the top 10 for sur, but the top 3 get most of the web's searches.
