The Other Search Engines

Hello Everyone

What are the best ways too go around SEO? Without paying. See I am 14. =). And I got a killer design about affiliate programs and webdesign + templates. I like too call it the Mini Webmasters HQ. =).

Anyways Is there a way too do this? Cause I cannot afford 400US too get it ranked better :P. Just not in the budget of a 14 year old =).

Faraaz,

I would suggest you start out by submitting your site to ODP, Google and AltaVista. These are all free. You should also take a look at http://www.searchenginecolossus.com/ to see if there are other search engines that permit free listings.

You should also contact "Webmaster Resources" type sites to see if you can get a free listing on their site for your templates. If you offer any of your templates for for free, you should contact the "Free Stuff" sites for a free listing.

You can list your site in your sig. That way we could visit.

Hope has a really good idea about submitting some of your templates for ads. Get those links back to your site, and help your ranking.

SEO it optimising the content and wording and other areas of your site so that it ranks better on Search Engines.

Areas of the site that are commonly Optimised are :
Headings
Meta-Tags
Alt Image Tags
Keywords
Title Tags

Targetting these at specific keywords gets you ranked much better on your subject area, and thus your traffic increases.

It is also important to have links to your site from other, related sites, as this can improve your rankings further, and help you to get spidered more.
