Web 2.0 isn't something you use, It's the way you do something.
A search engine only returns results after someone types something, so apart from using glass icons i don't know what they could do to become web 2.0

web 2.0 sites usually have the content created entirely by users like digg, flickr and del.icio.us

I have heard and even used those sites, but I didn't know that they were called Web 2.0. Thanks for the clarification. I've found some really interesting stuff on digg, and it also seems like a good way to promote your site.

Simply put, "Web 2.0" (god I hate that term) is a means of allowing users to contribute and rank content. Their ranking is at least a partial factor in terms of the results presented.

The best example I can think of that's purely organic (RIGHT NOW...6 months from now, blackhat-types will destroy it) is the stumbleupon.com toolbar. They rank and present sites to the user based on what other users think of the site (I think.)
