Hi my name is Daniel from CometQuery.com.
It is a new search engine created by a team of 3 in the United Kingdom. It however is not just some new site using one of them dull scripts. CometQuery is aimed at the average user and is simple in some terms but under the hood allot goes on. First let me tell you about some of the features it has. First would be basic search, which as you may of guessed is indeed a web search engine. However we also have site details for some sites, for example if one was to search for Dmoz.org, they would see the result dmoz.org with the basic information, such as title description and url but it would also show things such as if the site contains spyware, popup adverts, banner adverts and adult content. The information is got by users submitting data and some are automatic. Next thing I feel is interesting is the filters, at the moment only two of them but soon many more. At the moment the user can filter out Forums and Commercial sites, this in turn allows for the user to search something such as Digitalpoint, remove the forum results and be left with just from the main site Digitalpoint.com. And commercial does just that, removes the commercial content. Another thing on the search results is the small thumbshots, nothing amazing but very handy. We also feel that search results show fast compared to some search engines currently on the net. Audio search is just that, and nothing really new on this except for the things I stated above, as with Blogs and Creative Commons. However we do welcome comments and requests for things just post them here
