Stumbleupon have no lasting traffic. You can have traffic for now but tomorrow it will gone.

I read a comment from an article it is good to use stumble if you have 200 friends and exchange with them so that it gives you a big traffic for your site..

Hi, thanks for clearing this up. I thought stumble was a great way to get traffic but you are telling me it's traffic that leaves quickly...what social website is better?

I am also on Stumble upon and tend to view my own sites and also the sites of others. As you can guess, i am also "ms2134" there and most places so it is easy to find me and see that i have a good rep on the internet.

Stumbleupon.com is a useful site with many members and features.

Mostly yes, but not always. Actually, I stumbled on webmaster-talk and I'm still here - living proof that SU can work

A few weeks ago I posted on here that I had got 14 stumble hits. I got some thumbs up from real people and now I'm getting several hundred a month from SU only. Obviously the majority don't give a fig about music theory, but I have a vague feeling that my adsense earnings are increasing. I might just go and plot a graph....

Right, here you go!

http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...vw/graph-1.jpg

The pink line is my adsense earnings (factored by a secret number), blue is unique visitors and the 2 black lines show the trend, and the forecast. The spikeon the blue is when I got stumbled. It's very clear that my adsense is going up (albeit marginally!) with my visitors and I dont' really have any other good reason for the increase. The little increase in visitors at the start of Nov was as a result of adwords advertising (stopped 15th nov), and does not seem to have increased the adsense revenue.

Therefor stumble wins over adwords

That's what we like to see, real info and experiences. Not just anecdotal "evidence" and half-assed supposition.

One tip for Stumbleupon is having a decent landing page that people actually want to read. Using the home page for a landing page as been much less successful. If the person likes the article they will tend to check out your site more.
