Hello Everyone,

I apologize if this question is redundant.

Are there any good SEO tools that I can pick up. I do see there are a few companies that will do this for you but I was trying to get away from paying to much at start up.

Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes, SEO tools like keyword density analyzer, link popularity check, and many others are available on the Net for free. You just need to search for it..

I second this. The DP tools are the best I've come across, and they're free to boot

I use MarketLeap's tools for link popularity and search engine saturation. They cover all the major players, and if you look at the bottom of your result screen then you will see links for the others.

They recently added a trend chart which will track your queries every time you use it. This way over time you will be presented with a graphical presentation of your progress.

Their tools are at http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/

For a desktop tool though, there is a Link Popularity Tool and is available for free download at the Axandra site at http://www.axandra.com/free-link-popularity-check.htm. Link Popularity Check is a freeware program that checks the link popularity of your web site on several search engines and compares it to other web sites on the Internet.

For Web Page speed analysis (page optimization) you can test your web site speed with our free web-based analyzer. You enter a URL and it will calculate page size, composition, and page download time. The script calculates the size of individual elements and finds the total for each type of web page component. Based on these page characteristics the script then offers advice on how to improve page display time and website speed. The script incorporates best practices from HCI research into its recommendations.

You can find that one at http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/. I put this one in here because it is oft overlooked aspect of web design. If your pages are not lean, then they ain't mean. ;0)
