The Other Search Engines

Hey, im just looking for some others thoughts on something. I was checking google rankings for a few of my main keywords today, as i did some SEO about 2 weeks ago, and noticed the googlebot. Anyhow, everything looked fine, except my main keyword which accounts for about 65% of traffic i get from google dropped from 5 to 133. The only difference to the page that was optimised for the keyword, was a slightly higher keyword density, but nothing that would raise any flags, and loss of PR (from 4 to 0) due to file name change. So i guess my main question is does PR really have that big of an impact still? Also how long is the avg. time period between PR updates?

If you changed the name of the page all the links to it have to be changed as well. That include offsite links.

If they are offsite links you must change the links, to point to your new file or they will be dead links.

Once all the links to your new file are indexed you will the same PR as before granted the none of the other links out of your page or out of the page linking to your site have changed.

You might not get your rank back for 45 days or more.
