TextWrangler. It's great! Allows you to have several HTML and CSS documents open at the same time. Coding in different colors. And it's free. *for the Mac.

notepad++ all the way. But then again I am coming from a programming background.
All my sites php, css and html are done using notepad++.
More user friendly then straight notepad.

Dreamweaver is ok to use most of the time, but using a simple code in a simple text editor will do the trick. Design wise adobe is pretty great. Frontpage is also useful.

Normally, I just use EditPlus for coding and editing. It's basically a text editor with syntax highlighting and code snippets. Lately though, I've been playing around with Microsoft's Expression Studio 2, which comes with Expression Web. It doesn't muck up your code as bad as FrontPage did. (and much more CSS control)

If you're a college student (and some high schools), you can get it for free at...

I can't afford Dreamweaver and only know a pinch of code. I have put together some nice graphics in paint & have downloaded Kompozer, but haven't gotten around to learning it yet. It was between that and CoffeeCup, but free sounded better than $50, so I'm trying Kompozer 1st.

I have a project that just won't work with WordPress, which I've managed to handle my other sites with. So it's time to bite the bullet.

I personally like Kate

I like it because it highlights different things in different colours, and the parts that don't work or don't make sense in red! Very handy tool. Unfortunately, I think it's only available for Kubuntu.
