Hi,

I have a new free web directory. How do I make money with it?

Free Submission directory: < link drop removed >

I have the following ways:

Add Affiliate advertisements.
Add paid advertisements
Ask payment for higher spots in the directory ( wouldn't make the directory overall free then)

Which one makes more money?

Lots of things, you can promote it, and upsell affiliate ads on it.

As a start you must go with affiliate advertisements ... after all you can use it as a paid directory for higher spots

yeah, what textlinks said. As you build up in traffic you can sell ads your self on your site along side other program you might be using at the time. Also, having people pay to be featured could be a good way to boost income as well.

I think you must highly optimize your dir on SE & then ask for paid submission, it is also a good way to make money from DIR site.
