Hey,
Directories usually take a time frame of 3days to 90 days to have the site approved. Also as "tatrasim" said most of them are dead directories or have a huge backlog of links that needs to be approved. As far as I have seen the approval rate for directories is around 35%-40%. it can vary also.
However I would suggest you don't rely only on directory submissions, but go for other link building methods such as social bookmarking, blog posting, article submissions, forum postings etc.
Now coming to your question of services that save time. In fact there are many submission services that offer the above mentioned at a nominal price. As a matter of fact, I had recently availed the services of Directory Maximizer, a directory submission service and have been quite happy with their work. I suggest if you looking for more directory submissions, you use them.
I would also want to emphasize on the fact that you concentrate on the on-page optimization, as in the content, layout, titles etc so that it would be a leverage (apart from the other SEO methods) to attract traffic. |
