Hi everyone. I was wondering if that directory I did mention in the title is worth the 299 and why? DOes it matters to google if you are in the directory or not? Thanks

They appear to do pay per click ads also - maybe if you try that you have a better chance to find out for yourself if it's worth the money. The other option sounds pretty risky to do it without any idea what your return will be. If you give all 300 dollars to google, they can send you, very easily, between 900 and 1500 users looking for whatever you specify. Calculate for yourself if that could give you a good profit.

I've been a webmaster since 1999 and a web surfer since 1992 and I only heard of business.com because you just mentioned it.

The question about business.com is a good one as it is well known to have been worth it back in the late 90's and all the way up to 2005. I have heard that it is not necessarily that helpful to your organic rankings anymore which of course would be the only reason to do it anyways. Of course many of my competitors seem to be in though. I would like to hear from other people that use it if they notice any difference

That's interesting. I agree with witnesstheday, there's no better way of knowing if it helps unless you start trying it for yourself. Although, I find that a bit risky..
