and are your sites DMOZ and yahoo directory listed?

I have a bad experience with DMOZ because I have heard a lot good testimonials about them but they didin't want to submit my site thus I have waited for their response more than 2 month...

i was told to submit to dmoz and yahoo directory and forget it.
i saw some of my competition are accepted into dmoz and yahoo directory, so would it be difficult for me to appear on the top without getting listed in them?

Does anyone know how long it takes to be listed in dmoz, i think you have to pay to get listed on yahoo directory. I submitted HourHost.com to dmoz but i dont know how long it would take. It took some people 3 years which is a long time.

One of my sites got 2 deep pages included in DMOZ but never see any substantial boost in search engine traffic actually.

I have 2 sites in DMOZ currently, it's not worth that much these days.

I have a site in dmoz.org. But it just got in, I hope to see a jump in PR in the next 3 months. Alot of blogging, forums, directory submissions, twitter, all that crap. I slipped from a 4 to a 1 and now I'm trying everything I have ever done in the past to get it back. I had it in Yahoo, not much traffic. But that could have helped with that PR4?? Who knows.

Simple.

I would try to build quality links for my site. I don't think so getting your site listed in dmoz and yahoo give you as much help as they have done in past time in ranking your site.

Getting listed in dmoz does not guarantee success, you need to optimize your site consistently to get good results.

Yeah I am still not in Dmoz 4 years later, just submit and forget and do every couple of years. Maybe one day lol..

I listed in the yahoo directory a few years back and imo it was the worst 300 bucks i ever spent and i will never do it again. my adult site is in the dmoz dir and has been for several months now and i have yet to notice any pluses from it being there.
