I would like to suggest a tagging system for the directory threads... Would go something like...
PR5 [FREE] [YBL:10] [IND] [NODROP]
PageRank would be obvious.
Where [FREE] is can be: [FREE], [RECIP], or [PAID] to denote the type of directory. The [YBL:10] would mean that there are 10 backlinks using yahoo to check.
The [IND] tag would represent that the site is indexed in google. This can be sketchy if the homepage is and subpage aren't, we'll just say as long as one page is indexed it will count, simply so unindexed brand new directories cannot use the tag.
[NODROP] would be used by people with quality directories that are not made on dropped domains, as usually these lose respect by google. Obviously most wouldn't say it is dropped, but just lack of the nodrop tag would tell us.
The whole goals of this isn't to be super strict, but for those people who make super quality directories, their posts would stand out.
Seeing PR5 [FREE] [YBL:10] [IND] [NODROP] in the title, I could pick out a decent directory just by looking at the titles, and would give quality directory owners more exposure.
Anyone think this is a good idea? I will make a more detailed system that we could hopefully sticky if you think this idea is decent. It would have to be enforced with rep though. If someone posts a [FREE] and they require recip, or payment, we would have to leave negative rep.
