There's a DoFollow/NoFollow plugin for firefox that scans links and shows you in color whether the link is a dofollow or nofollow.

Red=NoFollow
Blue=DoFollow

Please keep in mind that using software does work but is not always 100 accurate.
To be honest your best bet is to actually view the source yourself

Some directories also give you an option of adding a free link with no follow, but the best thing is to install mozilla do follow plug in, it will help you in determining which directories are no-follow and which are follow.

You can just look at the source code and see if it has the rel="nofollow"as part of the link code.

Right click anywhere in your browser and select View Page Source. Then press Ctrl + F and search for ‘nofollow’ . If you can not find nofollow tag, it means that the directory is dofollow.
