Does anyone know of any simple tips/tricks programs or anything that can help improve submission to directories. I am not willing to pay and the task of doing it manually is daunting.

Or if I were going to pay because thats the only option, then does anyone have a service they could recommend that they have had quantifiable success with?

You should not trust auto submissions. The results might not be desirable. Stick to the best directories since most out there are low quality.

For SEO purposes, you should take advantage of using your anchor text effectively in your title and to submit different versions of your description to avoid duplicate content.

This can only be done through manual submission, link building requires lots of work, determination and patience.

I think manual submission is the great way and the faster wat you can do from robo form but you need to be careful while using this kind of software.

Use high Page Ranked directories. use Descriptive titles. use your your own content as description
