my vote will move toward the DMOZ directory however, it is time consuming but yields good results at the end. Others are cool as well.

DMOZ is good because its free, I couldn't pay $30-40 just for a listing somewhere.

DMOZ is good but i don't think it gives approval fast, it takes long time to approve links..

The directories mentioned above are fine but you can find which are more than 10 year old like www.cluboo.com and www.ambusha.com
