Why do you even care? There are thousand of other equally useless directories for you submit to.

what are you waiting for... invitation from dmoz?
or
maybe you feel that if you'll wait long enough you'll change your mind?
or
if you wait for 3 years, you'll have better chance to get listed?
or
dmoz will finally give up and start including every piece of crap you have to offer?

i wouldn't wait, if i was you, and would submit my site now before dmoz officially cease to exist.

I have submitted a few sites to DMOZ a few months go but still waiting. I guess thats not as long ago as some here. I expected a wait but after reading this thread, I think the easiest way to get a submission is to make my own directory!

I've been waiting for years.
Submit, and move on.
I almost think you have to know someone to get included.

I think Talksfour is referring to value, not expense.

It took about 3 years for one of my established sites to be accepted into Dmoz...and then I think they decided to take it down. They're just a bunch of confused editors. I think their system is corrupt.

The editors are not confused. It's all YOU who are confused by thinking that an entry is "useful".

LOOK it NEVER was "useful", it was simply ignorance and dumb stupidity by people who should have known better that made others think it was.

For FIFTEEN YEARS websites have done perfectly well without a listing at DMOZ, and in some case have done better without, because they have never suffered with the nondescript PATHETIC excuse for a title and description that the ODP editors had to use.

For goodness sake GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
