Big delay in DMOZ?

I work for a company that is accredited and has been in business for years. Any reason why DMOZ hasn't accepted us? We submitted to it months ago.
Thanks in advance

I hope you realize that just taking the time to worry about it has a negative ROI ;-)
Some folks have been waiting years to get listed.
Personally, it only took me a few week to get in and I received absolutely no benefit. Web directories are the biggest waste of time there is.

I've never submitted a site to DMOZ but have had three or four that were listed.

DMOZ just takes time. Sometimes forever.
Ive had sites waiting to be listed for years.
They probably never will be listed.
Move along., maybe pay for yahoo inclusion?

dmoz is still around? Wow. Who knew. Or cared.
Seriously don't worry about it like everyone has said. You submitted and now you should never think about that submission again. Your site will either be listed or it won't. In either case it will make little to no difference to the success of your site.

I wonder if the stupid obsession with getting listed in DMOZ will finally die off now that Google have finally done this?

I may be wrong, but I don't think they're going to stop.
They want links, not visitors, lol.

Chris you mean the same way people stopped obsessing over TBPR or meta keywords? I'm thinking people will continue to obsess over dmoz, though hopefully less than used to.

Sadly the SGB is still with us and another eight or nine years might see the end of meta keywords discussions.
but we live in hope

In the past I used to submit to DMOZ, but in the end I found it was frivolous. Your better off spending that time talking about your website online to real people.
The key thing is remember is Google doesn't really care about DMOZ (Side note: That is Matt Cutts from Google, he answers webmasters questions on YouTube. It's worth a look at if you have time) any more.

Yep and hopefully help change people's perceptions about these things being important.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to educate people about search engines so they stop creating discussions about useless things. As always if you disseminate faulty information Google will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This post will self destruct in 5 seconds.

Its true, DMOZ takes lots of time to get your site approval. Even you submit the site under appropriate category.

Now, are you all sitting comfortably?
Listen carefully to the first couple of sentences.

@chrishirst and @vangogh
you got it all wrong.
dmoz is the only hope wannabies webmasters and their useless made for mfa sites has left and if you take away from them that hope, then there will be not enough bridges for them to jump into the land of oblivious.
