Simple...submit your site...

And then wait......and wait.....and wait.....
Sometimes it can only take a year or some....or never.....

In 1998 I submitted a site.......not yet......

You can read in forums around the net about people who have waited for years and have not heard anything....

i have 100% working technique for you.
  • start with turning on your computer
  • open browser and in address bar type dmoz.org
  • find the most appropriate category where your site belongs
  • go to that category and look for 'suggest url' link
  • click on 'suggest url' link
  • using your keyboard start filling up empty boxes with your info
  • don't forget to click on 'submit' button after you done

it works for me every time and i guarantee it will work for you too

I heard there are simply not enough people working on the DMOZ project, and its likely no one will ever get around to checking your website. It is something of a lottery.

Yes. If there is an editor for that category, your submission goes to the back of the queue again.

But why even care it will make absolutely no difference to anything.

Submitted a long time ago, have a free reference site on good plastics history. Think they would have been quick to add it, but not heard a word. Do they give "denials?"

@Jim thanks

@Chris well I'd like to think that any free plastics history should be good plastics history. Though lots of people view plastics history as bad thanks to the environmental impact.... just as wikipedia is good that people take the time to put free information on the web to help others.

I'm here to find out better ways to make my sites more visible but some of the tech talk is over my head.

So; What you ACTUALLY mean is that it is a history of plastics that accentuates the benefits and positive aspects rather being a diatribe that only focusses upon the negative aspects?

Although a "History of Plastics" should actually be balanced, and offer details and information on BOTH the positive and negative.

A discussion article being described as "good" does NOT mean that it is only positive about the subject.

"Good" editorial articles should cover both the benefits and the potential downfalls of whatever it is. To be biased one way or another makes it appear as if the whole thing is merely a promotional exercise or being derogatory just for the sake of it.

I see what you are saying, and you are right there Chris. You must give fair and balanced reporting just to be credible. I have to laugh as that's the same line Fox news uses and people may disagree there.

Dmoz approval is not too hard, if you choose more relevant sub-category to your website then the chances will increase to get approval.

YES! But it takes time as far as I know. I tried many times there but I only got few approved sites.
