Does anyone knows what are the requirements of DMOZ Internet Directory?

How to get his/her website approved there?

DMOZ directory approval seems to take a long time.....is this directory still useful?

Now a days Dmoz is used for finding a right category to submit your keyword to other directory sites. Though dmoz take a long time to approve but it gives the result. But there are many other important directory sites those give the result quickly.

Only well established sites go through the DMOZ submission process and also it takes quite long (sometimes couple of years) for the approval.

I think the selection of the category is the most vital criteria.

DMOZ is hopelessly out of date and only exists to list websites owned by friends of the editors.

None of the major search engines give it any importance any more and you can get good rankings without being in DMOZ.
