Hi this is not good method of submission. Please be careful,it will do negative effects on your search engine ranking and finally you should be prepare yourself to facing that situation. So wake up.

Manual submissions is best. I have tried some auto submit softwares but I didn't turned out well. I received more refusals while using it.
It tiresome doing all the submissions (manually) but it's worth it.

Just use any way that is convenient for you in submitting your sites. Any way will do.

What's the problem with using a script to fill out simple form information such as site name etc.? You can go through and personalize your submission to each dir. and fix any errors. I don't see how anyone would even know that you used it if you were just using it to fill out univeral information.

There is a lot of websites such as Directory of directories etc. You can find a lot of directories where you can submit your links. Fir example http://www.alephsearch.co.uk/ - will give you a list of good directories.
If you have a blog, you can promote your blog and submit it also. http://www.manhattanservice.com/blogsubmission.html will give you a nice list with a lot of blogs directories.
Check also backlink tools. If you type competitor domain name in the tool www.domain-pop.com it will give you list of links where you can submit the same.
