Could everyone list which directories deliver the most traffic and return on investment.

well there are many .. you just have to use some right tools to find out what benefits a website directory could bring to you site.

always use the above website to check the INbound Quality Link OR ILQ of the directory you are submitting too ..

Here you will find top website directories. select them check them in the tool and if it looks goood submit them

and if you have educational website add to my new niche directory
