Does anyone know some DMOZ editors that can help me get listed in DMOZ?
I am willing to pay

There might be a corrupt editor hiding. Generally its against DMOZ rules, your site(s) get banned forever and the editor is removed.

Don't waste your time. Just treat it as any other directory on the web. Submit and then go somewhere else.

Yep just submit by following all the DMOZ guidelines and then forget about it. There's no one to pay to get you in. You either will or you won't get listed and it could take a long time to get in. There are plenty of other directories you can submit to and while I agree DMOZ is a good one to get listed in it won't make or break your site.

The time you spend worrying about and trying to get a DMOZ listing can be put to better use.

Indeed I did. It's now been added unless of course I forgot more than one word in which case there's still one missing.

Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to get listed? We submitted a year and a half ago and still no listing. We followed all of the quidelines.

1st

The only thing that I can think of is that they rejected the submission. If this is the case, according to their guidelines, they will not inform you of this. Also, according to the guidelines, re-submission is against the guidelines and won't help getting you listed. It sounds like a catch 22 to me.

2nd

It's interesting to me that a lot of the sites that are listed have low ________ (fill in the blank using letters from the following phrase: Purchase Requisition.) Our site has a respectable (you know what) and we aren't listed!?

So based on these facts I can only conclude that that listed sites have paid for their inclusion.

danskapia DMOZ isn't pay for inclusion. It can take a very long time to get in if you ever do. There could be any number of reasons why your site hasn't been included.

It's really best to submit like you have and just move on to the next directory. The one link won't make or break your site.
