I add my website to some Pixel websites and guess what. I paid money and month later this sites dissapear, some of them dropped in PageRank from PR5 to PR1-PR0, i even created my own list of pixel websites http://www.manhattanservice.com/pixelsubmission.html and all i can see, one by one this sites dissapear. I update my list every 2 weeks... and still. Hard. I think it will dissapear soon.
Many of these pixel sites were dropped because they are not a good marketing instrument. Think about this: see a lot of mixed advertising in a box - there could be consumer impact?
About the PR, it is possible that become 0 (some sites banned) because these directories could be considered to be link farms.
The submission service has nothing to do with this.

I know, i can just say that some sites just trying to get fast PR4, 5 and that's why they use Pixel adds. Later they are trying to build better links and exchange them with good sites.
