Web Directories

I'm thinking about buying second links from some of the major directories eg yahoo, botw.

My site can justifiably be listed in more than one directory category. Anyone have any feedback on possible drawbacks of this (other than cost : )) also do you think it's worth it?

I'm not sure how much extra value you'd get out of the second link assuming they accepted you in another category. The biggest drawback might be spending the money and not even getting the link.

I would think you could get more value getting links from different sources.

Its worth it if the link has good placement within the directory.. Traffic and all that!. Not sure about yahoo though i think advertising would be the way forward on that score.

Alive, aviva, about, etc. You can try. I don't think there is any drawbacks for that.
