Ok, so I have looked around trying to get my site into the "Best Directories" on the web. So far this is what I have come up with.

Best Of The Web ~ PR 7
Alive Directory ~ PR 7
Clush Directory ~ PR 7
Web World ~ PR 5
(I am already in these)

I have submitted to DMOZ about 2-3 months ago but no answer. No biggie. I want into some good ones. I am trying for the one time fee thing right now, like http://www.botw.org , http://www.alivedirectory.com and other high PR directories. Like we spoke about in other threads the YD is my last stop.

Can anyone suggest any other "Major Directories"?
I am willing to pay for inclusion so long as it is worth it.

Thanks for your time - Kane

JoeAnt.com, Gimpsy.com, GoGuides.org, SearchandGo.com, Web-Beacon.com, SpiderIvy.com, WebSavvy.cc

JoeAnt, Gimpsy, and GoGuides have been around for a long time (more than 4 years). WebSavvy has been around for 8 years. Web-Beacon about 3-4 years, SpiderIvy about 2 years, and SearchandGo about 2 years. These are all good directories and they do actually review sites according to their own inclusion guidelines.

WebSavvy's mine, so of course I'm partial to it.

I'd cast another vote to WebSavvy, just so there's at least one impartial vote. If nothing else, Deb will make a conscious effort to bust the cojones of spammers worldwide and that's more than 99.9% of directories.

I'm not a big fan of the rest of the Jayde network, but http://www.jayde.com/ itself is a decent B2B directory. Make sure you use a throwaway email address when you submit to it; trust me, you don't want to have to read the emails that they send out after the submission one.

Cool, what would you charge me to add one of my sites to your directory(WebSavvy.cc)? Or any other directory you have.

Thanks for the responce -Kane

WebSavvy has a one-time fee per submission and it's $33.00

I have another directory in development but it's for US businesses only. That one is new, and will be launching within the next few months.

And of course you do realise each submission (which is against their guidelines) sends your site right to the back of the queue again
