Web Directories

We have a website (awarenessideas.com) that cateries specifically to the energy conservation, recycling, environmental, safety awareness and quality process markets.

Since these topics are somewhat connected but not in a narrow and easy to limit way, I find it hard to choose which part of the Yahoo Directory to put the site in.

Which directory pages would you suggest I put it in on Yahoo to get the most bang for our $300 buck?

I would place it under general environment if you can.

It doesnt matter either way because if Yahoo decide it's in the wrong category, they will move it to where they think it's more appropriate.

Make sure you put a fair few notes as to your thoughts when you actually submit your site.

Any communication with Yahoo takes months, their dam hopeless... wouldn't know what service was even if it fell on top of them in the form of an elephant!

I agree with what you're saying, which is why I asked here for confirmation. I've heard much of the same thing about Yahoo manipulating listings to put things where they'd like them and it taking months to get results.

I'd almost given up on yahoo all together, but it's still one of those "gotta have it" items for people trying to get seen.

Yahoo are useless lol, like the pervious person posted they moved my link around so much i ended up with 2 links which wasnt bad for the price that it costs, and as for being a gotta have it link, personally i dont think so, how many people go thru the yahoo listings not very many i have a link on there its of very little value and this is from a person who managed to get 2 links from them, i wont be renewing my yahoo listing my advice is save ur money find a more relevant site to your cause and pay to advertise on them !!
