I wonder about the worth of a directory submission. I have submitted to thousands now and get good long term links from some of them - but it must be said not many. Now we are in the situation were there are directories sprouting up every day. My best links are from exchanges with other sites in similar markets, and Google likes this too - as I get no 1 spot in places were the sites after me have many more links than me.
