Unlimited reseller hosting accounts make little sense. Either way, there will be limit to how much you can use.

Can you share your friend's actual needs (rather than wants) and his budget?

He wants a good reliable host that does not oversell. Basically making a startup hosting company. So he wants a reseller host that can give quite a bit of bandwidth/Space and stuff D;...budget I'm not sure just list haha.

Unlimited hosting and not overselling are the opposite ends of the scale.

Unlimited hosting is the most overselling you can possible do - it's INFINITE overselling.

I'd vote for not overselling if you want quality and reliability but overselling if you want to be sold "unlimited" space on a 250GB server along with 100 other people being sold the same.

"Unlimited" and doesn't "oversell"?
These two words don't match somehow, if you need lots of bandwidth, youк friend may try reselling VPS or dedicared servers, that's a more realistic way to get more bandwidth, check SuperbServers.com, ServerPoint.com, Nocster.com dedicated reselling plans.

Okay not unlimited just a lot of space, and Linux Platform.

The problem is resellers always are more expensive then just buying a normal host with the same stuff dunno why o.o;

It's more expensive because hosts know that you'll be making money too - you can host sometimes as many domains as you want (within reason) and sell to possibly hundreds of people - why should they give this away at the same price as normal hosting packages? If your friend doesn't currently have many customers, then buy a really small reseller package and then upgrade to larger packages later on as customer numbers increase.

Resellers tend to use more of what they're given (because they resell, not use it for personal, limited needs), so the host can oversell less than they can do when it comes to "normal hosting". That's the main factor to it in IMO.

Plus it cost money to maintain servers, provide extra tech support and list goes on

If your friend knows Linux, then it would be much more wiser to get
dedicated server or even buy used one and co-locate his business instead
and safe some money in the long run

yeah stay away from unlimited/unmetered offers, those servers tend to be oversold and all resources nearly shot. You will pay for what you get, but you could check out a few major forums that might have some good pointers on what you need too.

To be honest, unlimited bandwidth is not possible with any hosting provider.

Also please mention the space and additional requirement for the reseller hosting account.
