Hi friends,
I need your advice on deciding the hosing company for my
website,i searched Google for hosting services but found
too many to decide which one to choose. So i need your advice
in deciding hosting service.
My website has about 20 pages, I need about 50MB space
but it should have all the capabilities like good
bandwidth, uptime of 99% ,cgi forms handling ,custom 404 page
some 4-5 email accounts with spam protection, and some database
support to collect user information.

Secondly can u tell me how can i write my own cgi script for form
handling.
Please kindly keep budget around $60/year
Your suggestions will be greatly welcomed
Regards

I would recommend Web-Mania (www.Web-Mania.com) Great host... More info http://web-mania.com/cgi-bin/hostshop1.cgi

Only £20/Year (Around $37)

Also if you want to handle your forms e.g Store them in a database or mail them you.... It would be easier using PHP
If you need any hep just ask

Hope this helps

It's a lot easier to copy someone else's CGI script than to write your own. A really great Web site I have found is scripts.com. There are thousands of scripts and most are free.

On a side note, CGI is kinda a thing of the past. I have found that PHP is much easier to work with and doesn't require a CGI-BIN to run scripts. You can also find PHP scripts on scripts.com.

About Web hosting - my company provides two really good packages. One is $5 a month and that will give you 100 MB of space and 1 gig of transfer. I also offer special custom rates if you ask.

You can see my site at www.gripinteractive.com

Good luck with everything.

In my mind I have no doubt that http://www.ournethost.com would be able to work with your hosting needs. Its a great company to work with too! (unlike some others) So yeah, thats my choice.

IllusionFXNet.Com - My host. Free. Competes in quality with many paid hosts. We have domain and subdomain hosting. You just have to submit an application and get approved (that's the hard part, getting approved).

I use Web-Mania and its been very satisfactory.

The only thing I find lacking is getting raw access log but this is unlikely to bother most people.

There are many good hosts out there and finding one can be overwhelming. Asking for reccomendations like you are doing here is a good start. Always make sure that the host has a money back guarantee so you don't get stuck with crap hosting. If they have a good product theres no reason why they wouldn't offer it to you.
