Ok this really is getting F'ing ridiculous now.

Just got a email talling me that my account is successfully upgraded from MS Home to Home (linux) with a new ip to upload files to.

THIS WAS ALREADY DONE AGES AGO!!

and now because i have the index.php on on the main domain redirecting to uk.MAINDOMAIn which all the DNS for that subdomain points to the Working version on my server im getting a hold page.

And it looks like they have re-created a new account!

I have had enough these people are MORONs!

Dan just host them elsewhere and tell them to cancel your hosting (although apparently there system won't let you cancel until 32 days has passed and even then it will take 5 or 6 2 day emails) you also will have to wait 72 hours for them to change your Nameservers.

Or just do what i do and transfer your domains to godaddy ( 2 week process with one and one), it is worth it when its done though!

There a company ran by total idiots and i'm scared by the fact there growing and buying other reputable companies such as Sedo.

i know, i think what i will do is transfer the domain and everything to my hosting, once thats all complete and everything so i know they can f up the domain i will go about cancelling..

it just really peeves me off that such a big company can be so crap! its like how the hell where as my very small host which is run by a handful of people at max, i get my support from one person not 29 and one email is enough lol just STUPID!!

Yeah that company is getting alot of bad reviews lately! Not good as they are a large company...they prob think that they will do everyone out of business and they can treat people the way they want! SHOCKING!
There gonna loose customers left right and centre!

Yes should be, you just have to unlock the doamin and get the transfer going (google domain tranfer from 1and1 and there is a guy who made a blog post which describes how to do it v. well.)

and then just FTP the file to the new host.

However be warned you will have to fight to get a refund if ever they wont give it.... even if you have only used 1 month of the six you have paid for...

Well, I'll just keep my Site going in that host. But next time I'm sure I'll be hosting my Site to another host. But what is the hosting Site for you that offers good service, offers and etc?

Im hosted with a relatively small company based in Ireland, but im a reseller so i dont have to have a account for each jsut one bill

i have been with godaddy for a number of years and love them. I have had no issues with their service but i got tired of paying for their hosting and only having a set number of MySQL servers so i just started hosting it myself. No downtime at all!

Dan, can you share that host with me? Because I'm still in doubt what would my host next time.

Nice thread. Good thing I search before switching to 1and1.

Shame i cant earn commission for all the people i defer from 1and1.. does give me a weird fuzzy feeling that someone else isnt going through hell..
