Last summer I've ordered a shared plan with IX and after a couple of weeks I canceled my account cause sites were loading very slowly. So I applied for a refund with the billing dept. and within 3 days I had the money back on my credit card.

I also had a similar problem and insisted something be done about it. Eventually they migrated my sites to a different server. Since then I really havnt had any issues with lag

webhostingstuff.com usually shows whether a company is good. And from there they don't look like the greatest company to be hosted with.

holy geez!! gotta throw the warning out there for IXwebhosting

we were with them for about 3 or so years. had a total of about 40 client websites hosted there.

starting around November 2008, 2 of the 5 servers we were on got hacked. now, not only did IX do NOTHING about it, but they then proceeded to tell us it was OUR fault! so we played along did what they suggested to fix it.

less than one week later it happened again... we never touched the files, had them fixed from what they said we had did wrong. all the files had been hacked and changed back to being wide open -- permission-wise. and yet, it was our fault.

so after going thru this every other week with certain files, the time of hacking changed... to every other day.

yea, so end of the story and after losing 2 clients because their websites got blocked by Google altogether, we've recently completed migrating ALL of the websites over to a new and better host.

steer clear of IX. in my opinion.

Your story is similar to others I've read in recent times. When did you finish moving out? Were the hacking instances still happening by the time you left?

Comparing with Godaddy, IXwebhosting is much better

so their speed is bad huh?
