Hey im planning on buying a host today, can anyone please tell me what they think about the following hosts.

-http://www.hostcolor.com/

-http://www.dot5hosting.com/

compare the plans and tell me which one is more 'trustable'
they both have 99.58% uptime and look reliable, but im no expert.

This post has already been edited. Hosts may make one introductory post of their business. If you want to offer your services after that, suggest that people PM you for details. Constantly posting your plans and fees is considered an ad and also SPAMMING.

gc, I would never steer you wrong. If you want great cheap hosting go here:

And look at this plan:

Single Domain:
Bandwidth: 1000mb
Disk space: 100mb
$2.48 a month
Quarterly or yearly billing

Check the plans page too for all you get with it. This guys hosting is the best out there. I have 19 domains there and a reseller account.

You could get it for about 1$ a month if you know where to look ., I've started a new forums that deals wth all the hosting stuff, if u post a hosting request you will get offers. and as the forums grows the offers will be better, and cheaper. take a loo see

Just to add the is a deal for 30/year thats only 2.50$ a month,,

dont think the chief will be worried about that since they have a large establishd forum which concentrates on all aspects of web development

Remember ... its not about always being cheap.

The other hosts USUALLY charge a bit more for a REASON.

Also ... groups.google.com is a great way to check up on a hosts' reputation

Personally I know that many WERE happy with dot5 ... i think they are going thru a rought patch right now [they grew very fast]

When asking for help in this forum, please try to refrain from questions that give people an excuse to advertise their services.

For those that have services to provide, a question like this (though loaded) does not provide a reason to place an advertisement and break the rules.

The rules are clearly posted in the "Introduction".

An acceptable answer from a host to the above question would be: I can help, please PM me for details. If the poster of the question is interested in your help, they will PM you.

An unacceptable answer would be: I have x meg for $x at http://myspamsite.com. This is an ad, and considered SPAM.

Sorry for the lecture, but please be clear on rules. They are established to keep all members on a equal basis.
