PHP GD2.0 friendly hosts?

Hi guys,

I run a semi-high profile site in my spare time (I don't want to mention it here). I've recently had a dispute with my current host, due to continual outages that last for up to weeks at a time, and constant data loss issues. The site's image has suffered horribly over the past 12 months.

I've decided enough is enough.

I need to find a UNIX host company that has native support for GD2.0 (not less than 2.0) and php functions such as ImageCreateTrueColor.

Crontab access is another "must".

The killer is budget - I can't really afford more than US$20/month, which needs to cover about 5 or 6 gig/month.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers!

I don't know of any hosts off the top of my head with those exact requirements met. But we can help you out if you'd like. See my signature or send me a PM/Email. We can set something up for you.

try www.routhost.com... you get GD, crontab and everything else for $3-5/month. e-mail their tech support to make sure they have GD 2.0 and not an earlier version.

Isn't that your site? Why are you trying to pretend your not affiliated with RoutHost?

As far as I know http://www.hostrocket.com support GD on all servers. Certainly on the server I'm on the GD version is:
bundled (2.0.23 compatible)

I'm not sure on ImageCreateTrueColor but support are very helpful. Within your budget too!

Antoshka, you may want to consider referring to hosts with which you are affiliated in the first person, in order to avoid suspicion. You have made substantial contributions to our community--you certainly deserve the right to promote your own hosts.

ImageCreateTrueColor is a PHP function, so I beleive if the server has GD installed you'll be able to use the function.

Wow - thanks guys. I didn't figure on getting much of a response, being a slightly unusual request. Thanks heaps.
