Hi all, does anyone of you any idea where i can get a good windows hosting (that was what I was recommended to go for) ?

Actually I am using FP to build my site, and have no programming knowledge. I have simple needs. Just good tech support (cos I am hopeless with the linkage and all to the web ), hyperlinks for me to link up my pages, and easy to navigate database (from to FP) needs for me to get organised with my customers' online datas.

do you mean uploading by browser? why dont you use FTP for uploading? it saves your time

why do you think you windows hosting?

you can probably accomplish everything you need with a linux plan!!

As creeper said you dont really need windows hosting..

Probally been told that because your using FP but most other servers support Frontpage extensions

I'd personally recommend ShieldHost. I've got a lot of websites hosted through them, and they have really reasonable prices ($3 a month gets you a lot of space and bandwidth).

Also, everyone else is right, you most likely don't need a windows hosting plan to do what you want to do. As long as the host has front page extensions installed you should be fine.

I hate promoting myself in situations like this; however, my company just launched two new Web hosting packages both of which allow for frontpage extensions.

Well guys, actually I do have a host right now. www.webhostingbuzz.com they support FP too. they are linux based servers. They are great.. however, I was told by them that a windows hosting would better for FP, as I can't load my .asp database onto their servers.

As I am really new in this, wonder what do all you guys think?

ihost.biz and host depot,inc seems good. Will probably try ihost because they have 30 days free trial.

Why would a guy need Windows Hosting? Windows isn't case sensitive and Frontpage has a bad habit of saving files with the first letter capatilized. It's an assinigne bug that Microsoft loves because it encourages this.

For Linux hosting their are lots of good places. I use several depending on need.
