I had apache server set up and runing on my pc... untill last week it was going great... thats when i found out that comcast changes ip's every week or so... so now all my ram files dont work no mroe since they are set up to http://myip/mp3/file.mp3 i tried several other things but they still dont work... to maintain this server it means to keep chanigin tha ram files and im not abt to do that since there are over 200 of them...

what if i buy a domain and set it up to my current ip and make all my ram files on my domain such as http://mydomain.com/mp3/blah.mp3 and whenever the ip changes i would change the entry on the domain to be set up to my ip....

any suggestions on if it works or doesnt and whats wrong with it???

You could use a service like www.no-ip.com, I've used them in the past and it's worked well. They even have a program that you can have running in the background that will keep you IP address up to date at all times.

You could always use a www.freedomain.co.nr subdomain...

You can set it up to point to an Ip address and everytime your Ip changes just login and it resets it for you...
