Most of the features you described are now becoming essentials in the industry, such as wordpress support, shopping cart systems, and quite frankly, cheap pricing .

However, when I see 150GB offered at $4.00 I instantly think overselling, which is something you'd probably want to stay away from, especially if your going to actually use most of the pace you are wanting to purchase.

I actually wrote an article on overselling, which can be found directly on my website, on www.bldhosting.net/overselling.php, whih reads as follows:

Quote:
Overselling refers to the selling of resources that surpass the assets allocated to the server itself. This is widely used in the Hosting Industry to appeal to the public. It is used to lure unsuspecting customers into thinking that they’re getting “more for their money”. In reality, they are falling into a marketing ploy, and essentially get the exact opposite.

To get a closer look at this matter, let’s go through an example. Let’s say we-are-the-best-hosting.net has one server, because they’re just starting out. In order to compete, they adapt the overselling technique and sell 50GB web space for just $5.00 monthly. To a customer this may seem normal, “everyone’s doing that”. He would essentially be correct, “everyone” IS doing it, however, it sure isn’t normal! Let’s go further in assuming that this server only has 150GB of disk space, and that it costs $90.00 to uphold. Well, if each of we-are-the-best-hosting.net’s customers receives 50GB of web space, ideally, they would only be able to store 3 accounts, and make $15.00 monthly. However, with overselling, they can simply sell 20 accounts, and make $100.00 monthly, leaving them with a profit of $10.00.

Overselling is very useful in the Hosting Industry; however it can have a very large impact on clients. By overselling, this particular web host has promised 20 clients 50GB of web space. Essentially, they have sold 1TB of web space, but can only provide 150GB. In order to ensure that things don’t go haywire, they begin to limit what you can do with your hosting in their ToS. When things get bad, they terminate a few clients, and then they get right back to overselling.
To be honest, staying away from such hosts is probably a good idea. You'll want the best of experiences in such a fragile moment, your first website on the web

Good Luck,

I don't think much of it.

1 MySQL database?

The shopping carts are not included in the $4.00 a month plan; and it's not $4.00 a month being that you have to pay a year up front.

You can find better hosting plans (more databases, etc.) that will actually take monthly payments as advertised. The diskspace and bandwidth don't mean much as you are not paying for a reserve of 150GB of space. You are only paying for what you use and whether you get a 1GB plan or a 150GB plan, it does not make an ounce of difference if you are using 400MB of space with either host. Only one database will make a world of difference in the ability to expand your site or other domains on the hosting.

Don't look at what the host is claiming to offer on diskspace and bandwidth, look at things you will actually use. Look at their TOS and acceptable use policies as well to see if they have any restrictions against something you may want to host.

Of the oversellers, Hostgator is very reliable and will take monthly payments.

Byethost is one that will take monthly payments and has reliable hosting; though due to their clustered hosting accelerators and some security measures they take, some php scripts will not run properly without rewriting the htaccess files.

For non oversellers, you can look at a list of a few, a very small list, on my site at *apparently the link to my own site was removed (kindly use something a little better than a childish <snip>)* (not all of the pages are up on that site, but the list is).

You can also do a Google search for 'cheap web hosting', 'top web hosts', and such to get some review and ranking sites that rate web hosting companies. Unfortunately, most of these sites are clones of each other and seem to rank hosts more by their affiliate potential to them than service potential to you. But you will be able to get a list of web hosting companies you can check out. One such list is at *webhostingstuff (but I apparently cannot link to it due to some moronic reason*. Though they offer a comprehensive listing and reviews from users, I would ignore their top ratings as that has to be a joke.

Good luck in finding what you need.

Do not go with that company....

Rather take a look at Webhostgiant.com: I think their offers are very cheap! And here you are very unlikely to get oversold.

Choose from the companies which have good reputation, and avoid those who are not known at all. Sometimes cheap prices may lead you to loss, in the end....

you can buy less than $1 a month! if you have a lot of files need to hosted you can buy more space, but if you think in the first month buying a big bandwith for your new websites, i think its not right.. first 3 months you will waste your money for bandwith!

take a look at 1dollar-hosting.com yesterday i purchased $10 single domain from godaddy and $7 for hosting from 1dollar-hosting.com. $17 for 1 year! 100mega space and 5 giga bandwith.

They offer much but at the same time very small because limit other opportunities. Mayve it worth to have a look at other web costings as well? I believe that for many domain names reseller account can be used. Gazzin.com or ivhosting.com might be good for you.
The Inmontion is not only one web hosting company
